Marlborough stabbing: police step-up patrols after teenager injured
The 15-year-old was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the leg earlier this week
There’ll be an increased police presence ‘in the immediate future’ after a 15 year old was stabbed in Marlborough earlier this week.
The teenager was taken to hospital for treatment after being injured on his leg on Tuesday afternoon (November 7).
It happened at around 3.10pm, when officers responded to the 15-year-old boy who had suffered the knife wound near Isbury Road.
He has been taken to hospital for treatment.
A cordon was put in place following the assault but was lifted shortly after.
Local Inspector Ben Huggins said: “We understand that this is a concerning incident for the community and please be assured that we are taking it extremely seriously.
“Residents are likely to see an increased policing presence in the immediate future as we investigate, and we are continuing to engage with a number of local stakeholders.
“We are currently following a number of lines of enquiry and we would urge anyone with information relating to the incident or who witnessed it to please get in contact with us.
