Man arrested in relation to assault in Swindon
Offers were called to High Street shortly after 4am this morning
Police are investigating after a man was assaulted in Old Town. Offers were called to disorder on High Street in the early hours of this morning, where they discovered a man in his 20s with a facial injury. His injuries aren't thought to be life threatening, but he has been taken to Great Western Hospital as a precaution.
Another man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH, and is currently being questioned in custody. A police cordon was put in place for a time, but that has now been lifted.
Inspector Steve Love says, “We’d urge anyone who witnessed the disorder who has not already spoken to officers, to get in touch. Officers are continuing with their enquiries this morning, including gathering any available CCTV footage.”
Anyone with information should call 101 and quote log number 44 of November 12.
