Police investigating after 11-year-old boy threatened with knife in Swindon Park

The victim was able to run away, and was not injured

Detectives are investigating an incident in Swindon where an 11 year old boy was allegedly threatened with a knife after refusing to hand over his phone.

The incident occurred at approximately 4.20pm on 12th November by the path in Tovey Road Park.

Police say the boy was approached by a male who he did not know.

The suspect asked for his phone, but when the boy refused, the suspect pulled out a knife.

The victim was able to run away, and was not injured.

He also did not hand over any his belongings.

Police described the suspect as a black male, aged between 16 and 17, with afro hair.

He was wearing a grey tracksuit, a grey coat with a fluffy hood, and black Nike trainers.

Investigators are asking anyone who saw or heard anything unusual in the area or who may recognise the suspect’s description to get in touch.
