Wiltshire Police say a school boy missing from Swindon has been found safe and well.

They launched an urgent appeal to find Dekhari Pilgram, saying they were extremely concerned for his welfare due to his age and the cold weather.

Posting on Facebook this morning (16/01) they confirmed the news: "We are pleased to report that an 11-year-boy boy who was reported missing from Swindon yesterday has been found safe.

"Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal, it is much appreciated."

It's after police urged members of the public to call the emergency line if they saw Dekhari.

The 11 year-old boy was described as about 5ft tall with dark curly brown hair and is mixed race.

He was believed to have been wearing a black coat, black school trousers and carrying a black Adidas backpack.

"Anyone who sees Dekhari or has information as to his whereabouts should call us on 999 quoting log 190 of yesterday as a matter of urgency."
