Officers in Swindon are appealing for information following what they're calling an unprovoked assault against a teenager.
We're told the 17-year-old was approached by a group of three people in an alleyway where he was punched in the face and in the back of the head.
They're 'urgently' appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Wiltshire Police said: "Officers are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a teenage boy that took place on Wednesday (16/10) at about 5.15pm.
"The 17-year-old was approached by three youths in an alleyway near Sudeley Way, one of whom assaulted him by punching him in the face and to the back of the head - leaving him with minor injuries.
"The person who carried out the assault is thought to be a white male, with a small build who was wearing a white scarf with black patterns.
"All three were wearing scarves covering their faces and had hoods up.
"It is believed that this assault was witnessed by a number of people and we would urgently like to hear from them.
