Plans revealed for this year's Swindon Christmas Market
It's just 5 months to the Big Day - and we're hearing more details about Swindon's new Christmas Market coming to the town later this year
We might only be in June - but with just five months until Christmas - we're learning more about the new market coming to Swindon in time for the big day.
The town centre is set to become a 'festive hub' of activity when the market opens on the 23rd of November.
There'll be a light switch-on to mark the event.
On social media, Swindon Borough Council said: "We may be in the middle of summer but we’re already getting excited for Christmas! A new Christmas market is coming to Swindon this winter!
"The town centre will become a festive hub of activity when the market begins on Saturday, 23 November with a light switch-on event.
"It’ll continue through the run-up to the big day, finishing on Saturday, 21 December.
"Run by LSD Promotions, who have also put on successful markets in Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon, the market will include a variety of stalls to buy unique and festive gifts from as well as a food court to buy all kinds of Christmas food and drink.
"There will also be live music and entertainment throughout the market.
"Once open, the market will run Sunday and Tuesday to Thursday from 10am to 6pm and Friday to Saturday from 10am to 8pm. It will be closed on Mondays."
