Teenager appears in court after being charged with Swindon murder

A 15-year-old boy has made his first appearance in court, after being charged with Owen Dunn's murder in Swindon.

The 18-year-old died following the stabbing on Mazurek Way, Haydon End on 4 December 2022.

The defendant, who cannot be named due to his age, appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court on 27 March. He spoke only to confirm his personal details.

The suspect has now been remanded in a secure youth detention centre and is due to appear via video link at Bristol Crown Court on 28 March.

The teenager is the latest of three people to be charged with Mr Dunn's murder.

A 14-year-old boy, who has pleaded not guilty to murder and manslaughter, is scheduled to go on trial on 5 June.

A 17-year-old boy had a case management hearing on 20 March, but is yet to enter a plea.
