More then 300 cannabis plants have been seized in Swindon, after officers executed a warrant at a premise in central Swindon.

The Central South Swindon Neighbourhood Team searched the site on Regents Street on Monday (05/09).

Police say they found a "substantial" cannabis factory inside the premise - which had more than 300 plants.

Over 300 cannabis plants were found

Sergeant Tristan Winter of the Swindon Neighbourhood Central South team said: “It was concerning as there was a clear risk caused by the unsafe electrical set up.

"Thanks to intelligence supplied by the local community, we have been able to disrupt the activity and make the building safe.”
