A man in his 20s has been left injured after being stabbed in Swindon on New Year's Eve.

It happened yesterday evening (31st December) and investigations are continuing.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "Officers are investigating a stabbing which occurred in Canal Walk, Swindon, on New Years Eve.

A man in his 20s sustained an injury to his thigh during the incident which occurred shortly after 5.30pm.

His injuries are not believed to be life changing or life threatening.

Enquiries are currently ongoing and we would urge anyone who witnessed the incident to call 101 and quote crime reference number 54230138067.
