Man arrested after New Year's fire in Swindon

A man has been arrested in Swindon following a fire in the early hours of the morning.

Police were called to a derelict building in John Street at around 4.40 this morning (1st January).

Officers say a man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent and remains in custody at Gablecross police station.

The investigation is still ongiong.
