Flynn joined the side this year, overseeing Swindon Town's nine-game unbeaten start to the season.

Swindon chairman Clem Morfuni said: “We are delighted to be able to continue our journey with Michael and Wayne as they look to continue leading our team on the pitch.

“Their commitment, hard work and the overall exciting style of play they have been insistent on bringing to the club since their arrival in the summer, makes them a perfect match for Swindon and our supporters.”

Michael Flynn said: “Since day one, I have simply loved my time at Swindon Town, and I'm delighted to secure my future with the club that the brilliant supporters here deserve.

“In the short time that we have been here, we have seen the love and passion that the supporters of Swindon have for this football club.

“With the support of Clem, Anthony, Jamie Russell and all those I work with at the club regularly, we are confident that we will create a team that you can be proud of.

“We will work relentlessly to create and build on what we see will be a high-performance environment for the players, and as a result, deliver consistent success for Swindon Town FC.

“Our ambition is to develop players, staff and all those involved in the football club daily, while playing fast, attacking – and, most importantly, successful – football.
