Mayor of Swindon's twin town visits the Borough
The Borough Council say they enjoy a 'long-established' friendship with its twin towns
The Mayor of Swindon's twin town in Germany has been to visit the Borough.
Council leader Jim Robbins says it was 'great' to show the guests from Salzgitter around yesterday.
They also went axe throwing - where he says Mayor Frank Klingebiel was a 'natural'!
On social media, Cllr Robbins said: "Great to show our German guests from our twin town in Salzgitter the new Museum and Art Swindon and Council Chamber, as well as take them axe-throwing at Boom Battle Bar! The Mayor of Salzgitter is a natural!"
The Borough Council say they enjoy a 'long-established' friendship with its twin towns.
That includes Salzgitter in Germany - with the two towns to celebrate 50 years of being linked in 2025.
You can find out plenty more about Salzgitter on the Swindon Borough Council website.
