A man has been given a suspended prison sentence after he was caught driving on the M4 whilst disqualified.

37 year-old Gordon Freeman, of Durley Street, Hampshire, was arrested on December 21, 2021 - after his vehicle was stopped by officers.

Officers stopped the vehicle as it exited the services onto the M4 slip road.

The vehicle was being driven by Freeman, but checks carried out by officers found it was only insured to one driver – a woman.

Freeman, who was behind the wheel, was found to be a disqualified driver and was arrested.

Freeman pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance and was sentenced to 24 weeks in prison suspended for two years - he was also banned from driving for two years.
