Man jailed for supplying drugs to Swindon
It was part of Wiltshire Police's investigation into the "Troy" drug line from London to Swindon
A County Lines drug dealer convicted of supplying crack cocaine in Swindon has been jailed for 20 months.
Ezekiel Bailey, 21, currently of HMP Aylesbury, appeared at Swindon Crown Court last week (27/01) for sentencing after previously pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.
He was arrested in March 2020 by officers from Wiltshire Police's Operation Fortitude team as part of enquiries they were carrying out linked to the "Troy" drugs line.
They arrested him at a vulnerable drug user's address in Swindon and seized multiple wraps of crack cocaine, a large quantity of cash and a mobile phone which was linked to the drugs line.
PC Craig Head, from the Fortitude team, said: "We know that these County Lines dealers travel in from London to Swindon to take advantage of vulnerable drug users, often bringing with them violence and exploitation.
"We are committed to ensuring that these types of offenders are brought to justice, as well as working with partner agencies and charities to ensure support is in place to help these users break the cycle of addiction.
"We rely on information and intelligence from our local communities so if you have suspicions about drug activity in your neighbourhood, please report it so we can take action."
