Man jailed for serious sexual assaults in Swindon

A man's been jailed for nearly 7 years for serious sexual assaults against Swindon mother in her own home.
35 year old Abdul Hamed, of no fixed abode, committed the offence in June this year.
Police say Hamed has shown no remorse for his actions.
Hamed entered the home through a window and attacked the mother twice while her children in the home.
He was known to the victim at the time.
DC Ashleigh Moran praised the mothers bravery throughout the process and are encouraging other victims of sexual assaults to report it to Police.
DC Ashleigh Moran of Swindon CID said: “This was a traumatic incident for the victim and I want to thank her and commend her for her incredible bravery that she’s shown throughout this process.
“Hamed entered her home through a window in the middle of the night, significantly breaching her sense of safety and privacy in the one place that she should have felt safest.
“He has then subjected her to a horrendous ordeal while her children were in the house.
“He has shown no remorse throughout this investigation and now faces several years behind bars for his actions.
“I hope this sentencing will bring an element of closure for the victim and she can start to move forward with her life."
