Man dies hours after M4 collision near Leigh Delamere

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following the crash yesterday (30th September)

At approximately 11.15am, a single vehicle collision involving a black Dacia Duster took place on the eastbound carriageway of the M4 near to Leigh Delamere services.

For reasons currently unknown, the vehicle hit the central reservation and crossed into lane 3 of the westbound carriageway, landing on its roof.

The driver, a man in his 70s from the Gloucester area, sustained minor injuries as a result and was taken to Southmead Hospital.

He returned home later that day but suffered a cardiac arrest at home and sadly died.

Enquiries are currently ongoing in relation to the collision.
