Man dies in fatal crash in Westbury

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after a fatal crash in Westbury.

It happened at around 1:30 yesterday afternoon (9 July) involving a cyclist and a lorry.

A man in his 30s died at the scene.

In a statement, Wiltshire Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision involving a cyclist and a lorry on Stephenson Road, Westbury at around 1.30pm on Tuesday afternoon.

"Despite the best efforts of the emergency services a man in his 30s died at the scene.

"His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

"Our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time."
