Man charged with drink driving after M4 arrest

A man from Corringham is due in court today after being arrested on the M4, accused of drink driving.

Thirty six year old Vincent Lime was stopped by officers near junction fourteen on Saturday afternoon as part of a month-long police crackdown on drink and drug drivers.

He’s also been charged with driving while not in accordance with a licence and has been remanded in custody ahead of his appearance at Swindon Magistrates Court.

In a statement, Wiltshire Police confirmed: "A man is due in court today charged with drink driving after he was arrested on the M4 at the weekend.

"Vincent Lime, 36, of Caswell Close, Corringham, Thurrock, was arrested as part of Operation Limit on the M4 eastbound near junction 14 at approximately 3pm on Saturday (6/12).

"He was later charged with driving a vehicle otherwise in accordance with a licence and drink driving.

"He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court today (8/12)."

Operation Limit is a targeted, month-long police operation led by the Roads Policing Unit which aims to tackle drink and drug driving offenders up and down the county.
