Wiltshire Police is appealing for help regarding an alleged sexual assault in Swindon.

Officers are keen to speak to a cyclist captured on CCTV who may be a witness.

They're also keen to talk to a woman stood at a bus stop on Newport Street the same day of the alleged attack early in the morning on October 2.

Officers are making the appeal even though a man has been arrested and charged in connection to the sexual assault reported to have taken place on the High Street in Old Town.

"We are trying to trace a potential witness to an alleged sexual assault in Swindon.

"Detectives are carrying out enquiries relating to an incident in High Street, Old Town, at around 7.15am on 2 October.

"A man has been arrested and charged in connection with this offence.

"However, our enquiries are ongoing and we would like to speak to the male cyclist pictured in the CCTV image, as we believe he may be a key witness.
