Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after attending two collisions on the M4 last night (Thursday 6 March).

An empty, unlit green Vauxhall Corsa was left stationary in a live lane on the eastbound carriageway near Leigh Delamere services at 7.31pm yesterday.

Shortly after, a Ford transit collided with the rear of the car, causing injuries to three occupants.

Around half an hour later, at 8.03pm, a man wearing dark clothing was struck by a Skoda on the entrance slip to the westbound services on the other side of the M4.

Police believe this man had been driving the Corsa and crossed the motorway on foot.

The road has reopened as police continue to investigate the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is being urged to contact police.
