John Sheridan resigns as Swindon Town manager - but is it too late?
The Robins are favourites to get relegated from League One with four games remaining this season

Swindon Town fans have been giving their reaction on social media, after manager John Sheridan announced his resignation from the Club.
The 56-year-old revealed his intention to step down after The Robins lost 4-1 at AFC Wimbledon on Saturday 17 April.
The following day, the Club confirmed that Sheridan had left his post, thanking the Irishman "for his time, in what must have been a difficult period for him personally.
"The Club would like to ... wish him the best for the future," they added.
Sheridan's record during his spell at the County Ground has much to be desired, winning just eight of 31 games in charge since taking the role in November 2020.
Town are now rooted to the bottom of League One, seven points away from safety with four matches remaining this season.
It would take a major upturn in form for the Club to survive relegation straight back to League Two, having been promoted from that division in the 2019/20 campaign.
'History keeps repeating itself'
Responding to the announcement on social media, The Robins' supporters have offered mixed views.
Whilst some are relieved that Sheridan is no longer in charge, others are evidently frustrated that the decision has been made in the latter stages of the season.
Tom Hammond said: "I want to know why the Club convinced him to stay on when he was going to walk months ago, when we had a chance of staying up".
Harry Nicholas said: "Too late. Fair play to John for knowing he's out of his depth but he should've been pushed overboard months ago".
Geoff Mitchell added: "History keeps repeating itself. Do club chairmen ever learn?"
In a statement, Swindon Town confirmed that Sheridan's former Assistant Manager Tommy Wright will replace him for the rest of this campaign.
Lee Peacock, Town's Academy's Head of Coaching, is going to be Wright's number two.
