The 64-year-old was jailed for life in 2003 for murdering his estranged wife

A man, convicted of murdering his estranged wife in Swindon two decades ago, will not be released from prison.
Glyn Razzell was jailed for life in 2003, after Linda Razzell disappeared the previous year. The then 41-year-old mother-of-four from Carmarthenshire was living in Highworth, Wiltshire, at the time. She hasn't been seen since.
At a parole hearing last month, the Glyn Razzell doubled down on his claims that he’s innocent.
Despite the permutations of the so-called 'Helen's Law,' the 64-year-old also said he doesn’t know the location of Linda’s body, or whether she is even dead. The law makes it harder for killers to be released from prison, if they refuse to reveal where their victim's remains are.
The Somerset man added that, if he was released from prison, he would search for Linda.
'Ample evidence that Razzell is capable of wholesale deceit'
In a statement, the parole panel said Razzell's "wilful and deliberate withholding of relevant information" shows that he is still a risk to the public.
The panel stated that there is "ample evidence that Razzell is capable of wholesale deceit". It added that he does not want to lose his desired status of being a "wrongly convicted murderer," as he tries to remain "psychologically intact" by keeping control of his narrative.
According to the panel, there were also concerns about his conduct towards female professionals who have been involved in his case.
It concluded that Razzell has done little work to address his risk factors, despite overwhelming evidence of them.
He will be eligible for another parole review in the future.
