Firefighters have been tackling a large blaze at an old derelict building in Swindon town centre overnight.
Emergency Services were called to Bridge Street at around 9.05pm last night, after the fire broke out, in what is thought to be the old Boardwalk Pub.
Pictures on social media show the building has sustained significant damage, with the roof almost fully destroyed.
Over 40 firefighters have been on scene, crews using hose reels, jets, breathing apparatus and their aerial ladder platform to bring the fire under control.
Last night, a statement from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 9.05pm this evening, firefighters were called to reports of a fire in a derelict building in Bridge Street, Swindon. On their arrival, crews found a derelict building fully involved in fire.
"Firefighters continue to deal with this incident. Steady progress is being made and firefighters will remain at the scene through the night".
People are being asked to keep their windows and doors closed to avoid the smoke.
