Swindon Borough Council say it's been an early start for their team this morning after dealing with a fallen tree in the town centre.

It happened outside the Costa Coffee on the Parade at about 4AM.

We're told the clean up has already begun - and area remains open as work takes place.

Posting on social media, Swindon Borough Council said: "It was an early start for the team this morning as they dealt with a fallen tree in the town centre.

"The tree outside Costa Coffee on The Parade fell down at around 4am.

"The team are now working hard to clear up the tree and make sure the area is safe. The Parade remains open while the work takes place."

As shown on the photo above, the clear-up work has now happened, and orange barriers are in place.
