Dozens of fire crews are in attendance after a blaze at a kebab shop on Northgate Street in Devizes.

We're told nobody's been injured but is spread to neighbouring properties - the cause isn't yet known.

They were called out at 3.11am this morning (12 November) for a fire involving a mid-terraced building.

A statement sent to Greatest Hits Radio said: "The fire has spread throughout the whole premises, including a takeaway restaurant, and into the roof spaces of the neighbouring properties, which have been evacuated. No injuries have been reported.

"Fire crews are in attendance from Devizes (x2), Calne, Trowbridge (x2) and Chippenham (x2), together with the aerial ladder platform from Swindon and a support appliance from Salisbury.

"Northgate Street is closed between New Park Street and Market Place while firefighters work to bring the fire under control.

"Where and how the fire started will be subject to a fire investigation in due course."
