Data reveals number of Wiltshire Police officers and staff suspended

12 reasons for people being away or restricted in their job have been listed

New data published by Wiltshire Police has revealed the number of people suspended from their job or with restrictions placed on their role at the force.

There's a range of 12 different reasons for people facing disciplinary questions.

In total, 16 officers (11) or staff (five) are currently suspended from their role with the police, while a further fifteen are have restrictions within their job.

Eight people are facing allegations of discreditable conduct, where they have not represented the police service correctly or have undermined public confidence in the police service.

Four people face sexual misconduct allegations, three are accused of information access/disclosure breaches.

Two people are being investigated by the IOPC (Independent Office for Police Conduct).

Other reasons for suspension or restriction are:

Alleged discriminatory behaviour, criminal investigation, honesty and integrity (2 people), honesty and integrity allegation (2 people), individual behaviours breach allegation (3 people), not public facing / not supervisory role, overbearing behaviour allegation and VAWG allegation.
