The Cirencester actress could be taking over as 007's spy chief
Cirencester actress Daisy May Cooper's rumoured to be in talks to star as M in the James Bond film franchise.
It's being reported that producers want to go in a completely different direction with the character which was portrayed most recently by Ralph Fiennes and previously Dame Judi Dench.
Cooper's friendship with Phoebe Waller Bridge is said to have brought her to 007 bosses' attention, Waller Bridge worked as a script consultant on Daniel Craig's final film 'No Time To Die'.
We don't know yet who'll be playing the lead role, but bookmakers currently have Aaron Taylor Johnson as favourite for that.
Daisy May first came to fame in the award winning mockumentary series 'This County' where she starred with her brother Charlie - and famously attended the BAFTAs wearing a dress made from a Swindon Town kit.
She's gone on to appear in Sky's reboot of music quiz 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks', space sitcom 'Avenue 5' from the creators of 'The Thick Of It' and 'Veep' and the recently cancelled comedy 'The Witchfinder'.
Daisy was also the voice behind Otter in the latest series of 'The Masked Singer' and starred , created and wrote primetime sitcom 'Am I Being Unreasonable' which was partly filmed on location in Gloucestershire.
