Cyclist seriously injured in Swindon hit-and-run

Police are looking to identify the driver and vehicle involved

A cyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a hit and run on the Great Western Way in Swindon.

The woman, in her 40s, was struck by a vehicle at the toucan crossing on the approach to the Bruce Street Bridges roundabout between 8.40pm and 8.50pm last night (April 10th).

She has been taken to hospital for treatment after sustaining serious leg injuries.

Wiltshire Police are looking to identify both the driver and the vehicle involved, which failed to stop at the scene.

It is believed that the vehicle involved would have been travelling from the general direction of Bridgemead towards Bruce Street Bridges.
