Cyclist knocked down in hit-and-run in Swindon
Swindon Police are appealing for information following the incident near the Orbital Shopping Centre yesterday afternoon (July 27)
A cyclist has been inured after being knocked down in what police have described as a hit and run in Swindon.
The cyclist is reported to have been crossing the road at the Orbital Shopping Centre, when she was hit by a car, which didn’t stop at the scene.
It happened around 3pm yesterday (July 27), and the woman, aged in her 20s, suffered minor injuries.
In a statement, Swindon Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a fail to stop RTC in Swindon yesterday (27/07).
"At around 3pm, a cyclist was crossing a zebra crossing at the Orbital Shopping Centre when she was knocked off her bike by a car, which didn’t stop at the scene.
"The woman, aged in her 20s, suffered minor injuries.
"Unfortunately the only description we have of the car is that it is small and cream-coloured.
"We are looking for any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to please get in touch with us.
