New Swindon Plan: councillors to discuss project later this week
The Borough Council has shared a video outlining The Swindon Plan, as told by the people of Swindon
After last week's approval by the Cabinet - we'll know later this week if the New Swindon Plan gets the go-ahead.
The idea is to make the Borough a fairer, better and greener place to live - with the council hoping to make a difference to the lives of current and future Swindonians.
They're hoping to do that by working with communities and partners across the private, public and voluntary sectors.
One of the projects set go get the go-ahead is the completion of the renovation of the Oasis Leisure Centre: Oasis Leisure Centre petition accepted by Swindon Borough Council
On Facebook over the weekend, the Borough Council shared a video - outlining The Swindon Plan, as told by the people of Swindon:
The council said: "Thank you to everyone who contributed ideas and feedback earlier this year to inform our plan to make a positive difference to the lives of current and future Swindonians.
"The final Swindon Plan sets out three priority missions for the next decade to build a fairer, better and greener Swindon, working with communities and partners across the private, public and voluntary sectors.
"In this video, several Swindon residents share their reaction to some of the things we’re looking to accomplish.
"Following approval at Cabinet this week, the Swindon Plan will now be considered at Full Council next Thursday (25 July)."
