Police are appealing for information following an assault that occurred at a Swindon restaurant.

The incident occurred between 12.50pm and 1pm on February 3 at Miller and Carter in Drove Road.

A man and woman arrived at the restaurant and requested a refund on a gift card but the restaurant was closed at the time.

The man proceeded to punch the member of staff multiple times, causing him to fall to the ground.

He sustained bruises to his face and knees and was left understandably upset by the incident.

Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident and police would like to speak to those pictured in the CCTV images in relation to the assault.

PC Dave McCalmont, of the Community Investigation Team, said: “The member of staff was rightly upset by this unwarranted attack."

"Nobody should be subjected to this type of violence, especially when at work serving the public."

“We’d urge anyone with information in relation to the incident to get in touch.”
