Body found in police search for missing Swindon man
Wiltshire Police have issued an update on the case this morning (8 July)
Wiltshire Police have confirmed a body has been found in their search for a missing man from Swindon.
They launched their search for Jonathan yesterday morning (7 July) since he was reported missing, at 11.45am.
In a statement, officers said: "We can confirm that a body has been found in the search for missing Swindon man Jonathan.
"Officers have been carrying out a number of searches in the Swindon area since Jonathan was reported missing at 11:45am yesterday morning (Sunday).
"Sadly, a body was discovered yesterday afternoon in Westmead, and while formal identification has not yet taken place, the family of Jonathan have been informed.
"Our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time.
"We do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death."
