Bizarre prank sees welcome signs replaced
It was first reported last week

It started with Camerton, but it seems there have now been a series of incidents in which 'welcome to...' road signs have been replaced.
It's reported - so far - that signs which disappeared have reappeared elsewhere in Camerton, the Jurassic Coast, near Bath and in Bradford-on-Avon.
The one in the social media post below ended up in Portland in Dorset.
Sharing an update on their social media last week, Bradford on Avon Town Council said: "Thanks to everyone who’s reported that the Welcome to Bradford on Avon signs have been swapped out and we’re on the case.
"We’re looking into this and we hope to have the signs put back in their rightful place as soon as possible."
Somerset Council tell us they're having to use vital local authority funds to pay for a replacement sign.
A spokesperson said: "This was reported to the council last week and we are organising a replacement.
"We would remind those involved that this is an act of criminal damage. If residents see something like this happening they should contact the police."
Whilst Parvis Khansari, Corporate Director for Place at Wiltshire Council, said: "There have been several similar recent instances where a sign has been swapped for a sign plate from outside of the county.
"We are working with our neighbouring authorities to swap the signs back, but this is an unnecessary use of both time and money that could be better spent on providing a service to the public.
"We have reported all instances of this sign swapping to the police for further investigation.”
We have contacted all of the impacted local authorities - and Wiltshire Police - for a comment.
