Arrests after 'knifepoint robbery' in Swindon

Two people have been arrested by police in Swindon over a knifepoint robbery.

They say a 20-year-old man was threatened by three others and assaulted on Tuesday night in Liden - before making off with the victim's motorbike.

Officers say they're keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.

In a statement, Wiltshire Police said: "Two people have been arrested following a knifepoint robbery in Liden, Swindon.

"At approximately 8pm last night (16/7), a 20-year-old man was threatened with a knife by three males and assaulted.

"They then made off with the victim’s black Sur-Ron motorbike with registration plate BN72 TYT. The bike is worth approximately £5,000.

"The incident happened outside Tesco Express in Liden.

"Enquiries were carried out and two males aged 18 and 19 were arrested on suspicion of robbery. They are currently in custody in Gablecross, Swindon.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
