A woman has been left with "significant" facial injuries after an incident at a Lidl car park in Swindon.

The woman, who is in her 50s, was walking alone through Bright Street shortly before 1pm on Friday (28th January) when a vehicle collided with her from behind.

The woman was knocked to the ground and sustained injuries to her teeth and lip.

The vehicle failed to stop at the scene and left the car park at speed. Fortunately, two women came to the aid of the victim a short time later and helped her up.

Wiltshire Police are appealing to anyone who was in the car park at the time of the incident who either witnessed the collision or may have a dashcam fitted to their vehicles.
