16 year old charged after £78,000 worth of drugs found in Swindon

Class A drugs with an estimated street value of £78,000 were seized from an address in the Braodgreen area of Swindon yesterday. (31/3).

With assistance from Police Dog Bracken, drugs estimated to be in the region of £78,000 in value were recovered from the address.

PC Saunders, from the Fortitude team, said: “This is a significant discovery and has enabled us to remove a substantial amount of drugs from the streets of Swindon. Our investigations will continue into drug supply and we urge anyone with information to contact us or alternatively their local neighbourhood team.”

Following the warrant, a 16-year-old boy was arrested and charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin and possession of cannabis.

The boy, who cannot be named due to legal reasons, appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court today and was remanded in custody.
