15 year old victim assaulted in Swindon

Police are now appealing for witnesses

Officers investigating an attempted robbery in North Swindon are appealing for witnesses.

The incident happened in Lady Lane at approximately 11pm on May 29.

The victim, a 15-year-old boy, reported that a man had approached him and threatened to assault him if he did not hand over his belongings.

The victim attempted to run away, however, was assaulted by the man before then making his escape. He sustained a sore lip and ear but did not require hospital treatment. Nothing was stolen.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his 30s, approximately 6ft tall with slight facial hair. He was wearing a blue Adidas sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Officers carried out extensive searches of the area following the incident and conducted enquiries with the local pub but the suspect was not identified.
