Police helping investigate cause of Worthing tanning salon fire
No one was injured during the fire at Tantastic on Monday night
Sussex Police say they are helping to investigate the cause of a fire at a tanning salon in Worthing.
West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service were called to Tantastic, Broadwater Street, shortly before 11pm on Monday.
Residents in nearby properties were evacuated whilst the fire was put out.
Images and videos on social media showed smoke coming out below the shutters of the salon.
South East Coast Ambulance Service have confirmed they were called to the scene, and no injuries have been reported.
An increased presence by police and fire crews is expected as joint investigations continue.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the fire, or has any other information, to contact them online or call 101, quoting serial 1408 of 21/10.
