Woman arrested following fatal crash near Midhurst

A motorcyclist died following the collision with a van on the A272

Police investigating a collision on the A272 near Midhurst, in which a motorcyclist died, have arrested a woman.

The crash, which also involved a van, happened on Petersfield Road, near the junction with Woolbeding Lane, at about 10pm on June 29th.

The biker, a 25-year-old man from Lavant, was pronounced dead.

A 39-year-old woman from Ceredigion in Wales has been detained on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage of the vehicles in the area to come forward.
