Another severe weather warning has been issued for more fog across West Sussex.

The Met Office yellow alert is also for freezing fog - with visibility less than 100 metres in parts - and icy stretches.

It came into effect at 4pm on Monday (December 7th) and remains in place until 11am on Tuesday (December 8th).

It follows on from one issued yesterday morning, which saw fog covering our area through the rush hour and beyond..

The Met Office website says:

"Fog and freezing fog will persist and become more widespread Monday evening, lasting into Tuesday morning.

"The visibility is likely to be less than 100 m in places leading to difficult driving conditions and some disruption to transport.

"The odd icy stretch is also possible."

The forecast for West Sussex:

Tuesday:

Any early fog and cloud will slowly clear, giving way to sunny spells for most. However, it will likely begin to turn cloudy from the northwest later. Feeling rather cold. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tuesday night:

Cloud will steadily move eastward through the night, bringing outbreaks of rain to most. Becoming drier and clearer toward dawn but with a chance of fog patches reforming. Minimum temperature -1 °C.
