Colleges across West Sussex raised more than £1,400 as part of their Red Nose Day fundraising.

Staff and students at Chichester College Group colleges – which includes Chichester College – came together to hold ‘Go Red’ days earlier this month in support of Comic Relief.

Students were also able to donate to dare members of the student executive and staff members to tackle various challenges, including dyeing their hair bright red or waxing their legs.

Lisa Humphries, Director of Student Services and Pastoral Support for the Chichester College Group, said:

“It was brilliant to see our campuses turn red in support of Comic Relief.

“It has been a difficult 12 months for all of us and we’ve had to fundraise a little differently compared to previous years, but the spirit of our students and staff still shone through.

“From challenging our student experience team and student executive to dye their hair to dress down days, the support they’ve given us was fantastic.

“As a group, we are proud of our commitment to supporting charities – big and small – and that is something that has not changed. It is embedded into our college communities and we look forward to being able to continue that for years to come.”
