Warning over potential danger of stolen commercial fireworks
The fireworks were stolen in Lewes
Police are warning of the potential danger of commercial fireworks stolen in Lewes.
They were taken from Landport recreation ground ahead of the town's famous bonfire night celebrations.
Police say they are more powerful than domestic-bought ones and should be used only by trained people.
The fireworks are in six cardboard boxes - two large, two medium and two small.
Chief Superintendent Howard Hodges said: "Whoever took them, or is present somewhere where they are set off, is at extra risk of serious injury.
"We ask anyone who knows where any of them are to leave them alone and get in touch with us right away."
