Wanted West Sussex man hands himself in... to get 'peace and quiet' from his room-mates
He told officers he was getting sick of being with them
We may all have our stories about living with dodgy room-mates in the past... but would you have thought of going to jail to avoid them?
That's what one man in West Sussex has done, calling police officers to get them to take him back inside as he needed some 'peace and quiet'.
Mid Sussex-based Inspector Darren Taylor shared the story on Twitter after the wanted man rang officers in Burgess Hill on Wednesday (February 17th).
He had been sought by officers after breaching his license terms after being released from jail for a previous offence.
“The male rang us and said he was going to hand himself in a Burgess Hill police station and that he had broken his tag off.”
"He said he would rather go back to prison then have to spend more time with the people he was living with!
“One in custody and heading back to prison to serve some further time on his own.”
