Two people sought after elderly woman's purse stolen in Brighton

The theft happened while the victim was shopping at a charity shop in the city

Police have released images of two people after an elderly woman’s purse was stolen from a charity shop in Brighton.

The victim had been shopping at the Cancer Research store in Western Road on Saturday, May 20, when her purse - containing money and a bus pass - was taken.

The theft was caught on CCTV and officers are trying to identify two women who are suspected to be involved.

The first is described as white, around 5' 7", with shoulder-length brown/blonde balayage style hair and wearing a black jacket with a mustard-coloured top.

The second woman is white, around 5' 6", with very long black hair and wearing a black puffer jacket and black trousers.

Anyone with any information is asked to get in touch with police online or by calling 101, quoting serial 391 of 21/05.
