Two men have been arrested after thousands of pounds worth of cannabis was seized from an address in Crawley.

Police initially went to the address in the Gossops Green area on September 19 to detain a man for failing to attend court.

A suspect was seen trying to conceal evidence inside the property before he was taken in for questioning on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class B drug.

The cannabis had been hidden in a bag for life and a cool box.

Shortly after, a second man was arrested nearby on suspicion of failing to attend court, and being concerned in the supply of a class B drug.

The two 29-year-olds have been bailed for now.

Detective Chief Inspector Karrie Bohanna said: “The two men arrested, had unsuccessfully tried to conceal a large quantity of drugs inside the house when police attended. Those drugs have been seized.

"This case highlights our determination to catch criminals and disrupt the supply of drugs which causes so much harm in our communities.”
