Toddler injured in hit and run in Brighton

Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward

A toddler has been left injured after being hit by a car in Brighton.

Police were called on Sunday (January 14) to reports that a child had been hit in Springfield Road.

The incident occurred at around 2.15pm and the driver did not stop at the scene.

Officers say a witness to the hit and run described the vehicle as grey and small.

The child attended hospital and is expected to make a full recovery from their injuries.
