Three teens arrested after assault on 12-year-old boy in Littlehampton

The youngster was knocked unconscious during the incident

Police have made three arrests in connection with an assault on a schoolboy in Littlehampton.

Officers had put out an appeal for witnesses following the attack last Monday (March 8th), in which the youngster was knocked unconscious and suffered facial injuries.

It happened in the old Waitrose car park in Duke Street at 10.30am, while the victim was on his way to school.

He was taken to hospital and was later discharged.

Sussex Police said the arrests were made on Friday (March 12th).

A 13-year-old boy has been released under investigation for further enquiries to be carried out. A 12-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy have been released without further action.
