Three people arrested in Worthing as part of drugs operation

A West Sussex company director has been charged with two offences of unlawfully possessing an air weapon

Three people have been arrested in Worthing as part of an ongoing operation investigating the supply of illicit drugs.

Sussex Police has said seven addresses and ten vehicles were searched.

They were arrested on Thursday (26 November).

Jordan Lee Moore, aged 38, a company director, of Whitebeam Road in Durrington, has been charged with two offences of unlawfully possessing an air weapon.

He appeared at Worthing Magistrates Court on Saturday (28 November) and has been remanded in custody for trial, with an initial hearing at Lewes Crown Court on 8 January, 2021.

A 19 year-old man arrested in Salvington Road on suspicion of being involved in the production of cannabis, possession of cannabis and possession of an offensive weapon, has been released under investigation.

Meanwhile a 17 year-old boy arrested in Whitebeam Road on suspicion of possession of cannabis, has also been released under investigation.

Quantities of growing cannabis plants were found at a residential address in Chesham Close, Worthing, in February 2020 and at a residential address in Peacehaven on 11 November.

The investigation by the West Sussex Community Investigation Team continues.
