A driver has been arrested following the crash in Chichester

Police investigating a collision involving a van and a car on the A27 at Chichester are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The incident happened on the eastbound stretch towards the Fishbourne roundabout at about 11.40am on Tuesday (December 7th).

It involved a white Transit van and a blue car and three people involved were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The driver of the van, a 24-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug, driving while under the influence of drugs and driving without due care and attention.

He was released under investigation as enquiries continue.
