Three boats have washed ashore between Ferring and Littlehampton

Investigations are being made after three boats washed ashore between Ferring and Littlehampton.

Littlehampton Coastguard Rescue Team has said they attended the scenes throughout this morning (27 October).

Attempts are now being made to contact the owners of the boats.

So far, one owner has been contacted and is arranging recovery of his vessel.

The rescue team has confirmed further enquiries and investigations are being made.

The boats that could be safely accessed have been marked with Coastguard tape.

Anybody who comes across any vessels washed ashore or sees any unattended boats out at sea is asked to call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
